Day 31 (14/10, Thurs)

SHOPPING, SHOPPING AND MORE SHOPPING!
No classes today, that means that we got to sleep in!
Basically, we literally spent the whole day shopping till some of us dropped.
We did have lunch: Dumplings and Beef Noodles. YUM YUM but the portion was SUPER HUGE.

Well, we went to 江汉路again, hoping to shop at the retail stores in the day and try to finish the rest of the night market at 步行街in the night. It has been raining these few days and today was no exception. Initially, we were afraid that if the rain continues into night, the night market would not open. This was exactly what happened last night; the night market did not open at 建设7as it was raining. Sigh, we made our way there for nothing.
GOOD NEWS! THE RAIN STOPPED when night approached and the night market did open! WHEW, what a relief! We continued our shopping mission till it was time to go back to the hostel.
We had GREAT HARVEST today!!!

REFLECTION
EVERYWHERE WE GO
PEOPLE WANT TO KNOW
WHO WE ARE
WHERE WE COME FROM
Yup, that was the question that many people ask us when we walk along the streets of Wuhan since the first week we came here. Even the people on the bus we meet ask us “你们从哪来的啊?” translated as “where are all of you from?”
We would often try to avoid answering that question when stall vendors ask us this question. Want to know why? We are afraid that when they know that we are foreigners, they will charge us more than should be.
Oh well, better to be safe than sorry!
