Day 10 (23/09, Thurs)

Today is the day where we SLACKED!
Yes, SLACK!
Class was cancelled today so that we can have time to complete our assignment, as our group has finished our work, we were free today!
Firstly, there’s NO ALARM CLOCK TO DISTURB OUR BEAUTY SLEEP today!
We then had our lunch at a new found eatery: 快乐厨房 kuai4 le4 chu2 fang2. The concept of the eatery is very similar to that of 柠檬乐餐厅, except for the fact that they have more varieties and they serve DOG MEAT aka狗肉, a restricted food that cannot be served in Singapore.
快乐厨房! our new found eatery!
the menu looks cool right?
the rice pot looks cute :)
Our Lunch!
The food there was delicious too, and the price was also comparable to that of 柠檬乐餐厅.
Therefore, we brought many others with us and returned for dinner. The other half of the group went to Wal-Mart to shop for necessities while the ones left behind (which is us) were simply too lazy to venture off so far away.

We were supposed to have the girls’ dance practice but was eventually called off as we will have ample time to do so on the cruise. Instead we had our group’s dance practice. It has been quite some time since we last practiced our group’s performance and we had to refresh our minds on that.
One interesting thing all of us did was the releasing of 许愿灯 aka wishing lanterns where people will write their wishes onto the lantern and light it up to release it into the air. This is something we don’t see in Singapore; therefore we had a lot of fun playing with the lanterns!
trying to open up the lantern
busily writing our well wishes onto the lantern

WEIRD PHRASE spotted on the lantern. haha!
SUCCESS!!
Today sure seemed like a boring day, but I sure appreciate a free day after 9 days of hectic schedule since we have arrived at Wuhan. Oh well, I have to get back to packing for our cruise trip that’s starting tomorrow and will not be back till Sunday evening. So I will not be blogging for these few days too! Hear from me soon on Sunday night then!
REFLECTION
It was rather heartwarming when I saw the lanterns ascending into the sky with the well wishes of everyone, hoping that our wishes will come true. it was truly a great opportunity to bond with each other. Seeing that the locals were staring at what we were doing made me think that we are rather united in a certain way.
Let’s release许愿灯again next time people!!
